This session will introduce the social and community impact of the Nebraska Seal of Biliteracy on student academic success and career planning, including how the seal recipients can get retroactive credits in more than 50 Higher Ed Institutes and how businesses and organizations start to recognize the seal as evidence of bilingual proficiency in their hiring process. Potential challenges and possible ways for districts and schools to support students to obtain the sea will be discussed
