Nebraska's Journey to Inclusion: Leveraging ESSERS Funds to Support Inclusive Education in Classrooms - This webisode will highlight how the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) is working to support local districts and schools with establishing the systems and structures to effectively provide an inclusive education to students with disabilities. Recognizing the opportunity ESSERS funds provide states and local districts to reimagine how they serve students with disabilities, the NDE has partnered with SPED Strategies to provide direct support to school system leaders and classroom teachers focused on building the systems and structures for inclusive education. Presenters will share recommendations for how states can set a vision for inclusive education and partner with local districts to scale this vision. Amy Rhone, State Director of Special Education at the Nebraska Department of Education, and Jamie Wong, President of SPED Strategies will present.
