Chronic absenteeism has been part of the state's accountability system for the past several years. For the past two years, the state has experienced astronomical rates of chronic absenteeism due to the pandemic. This session will refresh attendees' understanding of the definition of chronic absence, key strategies for addressing chronic absence, and dispel common misconceptions of the measure.
