The professional learning experiences of K-12 educators are a critical part of continuously improving teaching and learning within a school. PLCs, PD days, instructional frameworks, evaluation, lesson study… school and district leaders are faced with the complex task of putting the pieces together to orchestrate meaningful professional learning. Hear from Dr. Plugge how one school leveraged instructional rounds to align the core practices and processes of continuous school improvement to facilitate teacher growth in practice while strengthening the collaboration and collective efficacy of participating teams. In part 2 of the session, UNL will introduce a collaborative 2023 program, Growth-Oriented Leadership Development (GOLD) for Effective and Sustainable Rural School Renewal. The goal is to develop current and future school leaders, strengthen school culture, renew rural schools, and improve teacher and principal retention. We invite all rural schools across Nebraska to participate.
