Four educator shortage task forces, Certification, Praxis, Elevating the Profession, and Recruitment and Retention, emerged from the 2021 Educator Shortage Summit. Task force members represented P-20 and other organizations within the educational community and each group worked together to create proposals geared towards moving education forward. Join us and learn about the task force recommendations with a focus on renewed commitments to education and future innovation, and how they might align with the Nebraska Department of Education initiatives and timelines. We will also share next steps to ensure that the cohesive, collaborative, strategic approach to the educator shortage crisis continues to guide Nebraska’s efforts to reduce, and ultimately eliminate, the educator shortage.
