Alyssa has worked in early childhood education for 12 years. She taught kindergarten and preschool for Omaha Public Schools for 10 years before joining the Nebraska Department of Education last year. She is now an Education Specialist in the Office of Early Childhood. Her new role allows her to be a resource for maintaining high quality early childhood education to 81 school districts across the state.
Alyssa is married and has one son who is 3 years old. Her son has decided that his role is to test out all of what she thinks she knows regarding early childhood education!
