Xianquan Liu (Chrystal) is the World Language Specialist at the Nebraska Department of Education. She leads state-level World Language Open Education Resources Hub development, oversees the Nebraska Seal of Biliteracy, and provides professional development experience for World Language teachers across Nebraska. As a regular member of the National Council of State Supervisors for Foreign Language (NCSSFL), she has been nominated to participate in LILL (Leadership Initiative for Language Learning) Cohort V. She has more than 20 years of experience teaching English and Chinese in K-16 settings. She got her P.h.D. at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2020. She has more than ten publications and has presented multiple times at regional, national, and international conferences. Her research focuses on teacher education, technology integration, and language learning.
